OUTCOME PRICING
Pay Only When Your Members Get Better
Acules outcome-based pricing aligns our success with yours. For large employer groups, we offer arrangements where fees are tied directly to successful procedure completion and patient outcomes.
THE MODEL
How Outcome Pricing Works
STEP 01
Agreement on Success Criteria
Before any procedure, the employer group, Acules, and the partner hospital agree on defined success criteria: procedure completion, 90-day complication rate, and patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs).
STEP 02
Procedure Completed Abroad
The member undergoes their procedure at a JCI-accredited partner hospital. Acules coordinators manage logistics, documentation, and real-time communication throughout.
STEP 03
Outcomes Tracked
Post-procedure outcomes are tracked via patient check-ins at 30, 60, and 90 days. Acules collects standardized outcome data and shares reports with the employer group.
STEP 04
Success Fee Invoiced
Upon confirmed successful outcome, Acules invoices the agreed coordination fee. Hospital procedure costs are settled directly between the employer plan and the facility at pre-negotiated rates.
QUALITY STANDARDS
How We Define and Track Outcomes
Outcome pricing requires rigorous outcome measurement. Acules uses a combination of hospital-reported clinical data and patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) collected directly from patients at standardized intervals.
JCI Accreditation Required
Every partner hospital holds current JCI (Joint Commission International) accreditation - the same standards applied to top US hospitals. JCI hospitals are required to maintain outcome tracking systems.
Standardized PROMs Collection
Patients complete validated outcome questionnaires (such as KOOS for knee procedures, HOOS for hip) at 30, 60, and 90 days post-procedure via the Acules app.
Complication Rate Monitoring
Acules tracks and reports complication and readmission rates for each partner hospital. Hospitals below quality thresholds are removed from the network.
Independent Review
Acules maintains a Clinical Advisory Board that periodically reviews outcome data and sets network quality standards.
